As global head of music at Roblox, Jon leads the company’s initiatives and partnerships with the music industry, establishing strategic long-term relationships with record labels, publishers, management companies, agencies, artists, brands and music startups from around the world. He is focused on entertaining and engaging Roblox’s community of 46M daily active users, allowing them to express themselves and connect with their favourite artists and friends in new and unprecedented ways.
Jon is working with the music industry to create a self-sustaining ecosystem on Roblox where any artist can engage their fans, promote their music and earn a living through diverse new revenue streams.
fRoblox offers unique and creative ways for the music industry to engage music fans through shared experiences in the metaverse, they can grow their fan bases and create new promotional and commercial opportunities around virtual concerts, launch parties, in-game music distribution, virtual merchandise, interactive artist worlds and new music products and services.
During his time at Roblox, Jon has brokered deals with Sony Music, Sony Music Publishing, Warner Music Group, Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), Monstercat and more to bring new artists onto the Roblox platform and has built hyper-immersive virtual concerts and Launch Parties for Lil Nas X, Zara Larsson, Ava Max, KSI, Royal Blood and Why Don’t We.
